Paleface Kennels is dedicated to the preservation of the Texas Lacy Dog as a true working breed. Through hard work, dedication and the willingness to get into the woods as much as possible. I pride myself in the development of BIG-END standard Lacys through a strict breeding program. Paleface Lacys have what it takes to get the job done. Warm nosed, medium to long range with lots of grit and bottom.  Whether in the woods striking big pigs, blood tracking wounded game or herding cattle these bloodlines "make a hand".

As a pro-staffer for Veterans Xtreme Adventures in Plano, Tx we provide therapuetic hunts for wounded combat veterans which keeps the Lacys very busy. Even in their off time we are solo hunting or attending various bay competitions throughout Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana. Most recently we found ourselves hunting 8,500 ft. up in the mountains of New Mexico. "We dont talk about it, we are about it!"

My hunting style is what I like to consider old school. While my Lacys do have some grit and aren't scared to put their teeth on a pig, they are smart enough to back it up on the really salty ones. I walk my catch dogs in once the strike and bay dogs are "bayed solid" and you got the rest. We typically walk-in depending on the terrain my lead dog gets out anywhere from 500 - 1200 yards but once in open country he starts putting miles on the garmin. I road my dogs in open territory and the dogs will wind off the rack. My lead stays busy and doggers typically seem impressed that he stays as busy as he does.
